Boracay Getaway Day 1: DOUBLE DATE

4:24 AM

I'm sure for most of you readers, Summer has officially ended and school is starting once again. But nope, I refuse to make this the reason for not posting my recent summer getaway vacation. Lol. As very few of you might have noticed, I'm not as active on my blog as I was before, living on my own (not really, 'cause I have a roommate) has really been quite a huge change for me as it meant I had to be a lot more responsible with my stuff and I had to fend for myself. So staying hours on my blog isn't quite something I can always do right now since I'm still in that "adjusting phase".

Enough of that, as I was saying, my summer getaway has been the highlight of my whole summer vacation. Remember in my previous blog post HERE, where I mentioned one of my bucket-list items was to visit the island of Boracay at least once in my life. Little did I know, my mom read the post and actually felt kind of bad that I hadn't really been out on a summer vacation with family that much. But it wasn't my intention to make her feel bad at all, I was simply stating my summer bucket-list items. Later on, they agreed to go to that island, seeing as I just recently graduated and I was leaving home to study once again. Other than that THEY AGREED TO ALLOW MY BOYFRIEND TO COME AS WELL. Dude, if you were me, the only daughter and an only child to make it worse, wouldn't you expect my parents to be well.. kind of tight on me? I thought so too! Well much to my surprise, they invited him as well.

On the first day, I opted for a one-piece swimsuit that I bought a few months back. It had all these pretty pastel colors on it that totally screamed "JOY" when I first bought it.

Since we reached the island at around four in the afternoon, dinner followed up shortly, we opted for the restaurant that my best friend has recommended called Boracay Toilet. The concept was so cute, the whole resto's design was as if we were literally in a restroom and I'm not entirely sure if that's a good thing. The tables were made of pipes and our seats from toilet bowls, even the bowls that our food was served in, was in shapes of mini-toilet bowls. The funniest part though, was their menu that I totally forgot to take a photo of, they have incorporated Toilet/toilet activity related words on their menu, for example, their Pancit was called Pan-SHIT, or their Inihaw na Liempo was Inihaw na Liem-POOP. It was very humorous, honestly.

Overall the first day was a great one, most of that day we just strolled along the beach, exploring 'til the soles of our feet hurt. Day 2 will be posted quite soon!
