What's cooking guys? How y'all doing? It's been a few weeks since I've posted a blog post and here I am again telling you all how busy I've been and all that. I'm making this a Life Update slash Style post because why not, right? Let's hit two birds with one stone! Yes? YES.
I'm sure for most of you readers, Summer has officially ended and school is starting once again. But nope, I refuse to make this the reason for not posting my recent summer getaway vacation. Lol. As very few of you might have noticed, I'm not as active on my blog as I was before, living on my own (not really, 'cause I have a roommate) has really been quite a huge change for me as it meant I had to be a lot more responsible with my stuff and I had to fend for myself. So staying hours on my blog isn't quite something I can always do right now since I'm still in that "adjusting phase".
GUYS! It's been a loooong time since I've blogged! Like wow, it's been a busy few weeks for me, honestly. I'll probably elaborate in the next Life Update post, but as you all know probably, I've moved to the Metro to study, and classes starts in a week, so I'm stoked with that! Don't you guys worry, I'm sure to update you on how it is over at that really cool school.
On to the actual blog post! Quite recently, say two weeks ago, I went on a fun family vacation. First stop was the ever beautiful Cebu city. I think this is the city in the Philippines that I'd like to live the most. I'd have to make sure I'd visit again sometime this year.
One day I was in the mood to mix edgy-casual and chic for some reason and I'm certainly not complaining. It came out kind of nice and more like my style. (I think) Actually I'm still in that phase where I'm not entirely sure what my style really is. I'm still experimenting with different looks and into trying out unique pieces. I just hope I get to figure out my personal style sooner or later. But for now, it probably is edgy-casual x chic. (lol idk yet, don't pressure me)

It's been a few days since I've posted a blog post and to be honest I've got no legit excuse. To make up for that, I'm starting a new series on my blog called Life Update. I know, it's so unique, I can't believe I've just thought of it now. *Note heavy sarcasm. Okay, so maybe I'm still thinking of a catchy name, but more or less it's gonna be a blog post focusing on what's going on in my life right now. This is me going on a personal level with you guys! Hooray!
The ever timeless Little Black Dress or LBD is one of everyone's staples in their closet. For me, it is one of those pieces that you could just style with anything. Whether it be with pumps for a nice put-together look or maybe some strappy flats for a more dressed-down look. Either way, with a LBD you would be deemed stylish wherever you go!
Don't you just have those days where you need to be out of the house but don't bother dressing so nice since a. You'll be sitting in the car majority of the time, b. You'll just be meeting a few family members that really don't care even if you come in a sack of potatoes (minus the potatoes)? A tip I have is incorporating the now trendy overalls, or also known as dungarees with any top and sandals/shoes of choice. Seriously, you can practically use anything underneath this versatile piece of denim.
Oh dear, it's absolutely good to be back!! (not like I got lost for a months or something..) It's disappointing how I ruined my streak of consistent blogging due to some circumstances, but it's all good. So the Liebster award, YAY! I got this nomination last week from Almera from 'almeratalks' and I was so excited to be actually part of this, this kind off assured me that I was really a part of this blogging family. (Awwe group hug!)
It has been a few weeks post-graduation and I'm finally feeling the heat. Yes, SUMMER IS HERE! (Or actually it already has been, I was just being a couch potato and anti-social most of the time) To be perfectly honest, it's been quite painful seeing a majority of my social media friends having the time of their lives out of town or out of the country just to enjoy the Summer vacation feels. I've been pretty much sulking and wishing I'd get moments like those soon.
I don't know about you guys, but I get really curious when someone posts a "What's in my makeup bag/ What's in my bag?" blog post or video. I guess I can be a bit nosy like that. And I'm sure most of you guys are in the same boat as me and might want to see what are in each other's makeup bag right? So here's mine, PLUS an Everyday Makeup routine. Cause I thought, why not post both? It's pretty similar anyway. PS: Do pardon me if my makeup can seem a bit dirty or "clearly used to death", 'cause yeah it is. Haha!
I totally am all for those outfits that can transition from day to night with just a different pair of shoes. That's practically because I am really lazy in changing out to another outfit 'cause it means I have to stare at my closet practically for a really long time just to figure out what to wear next. Yes, indecisive person here.
So Valentine's day is right around the corner, and yes it may or may not be one of my favorite days of the year. But in celebration of the upcoming day, I chose to wear an outfit that has hints of red as an accent color. I wore a tiny cropped tank with a basic high waist pair of shorts. For my day outfit, I wore my slip-on sneakers that I love so much and for my night outfit, I wore my over-used-in-this-blog red pumps. I liked my effortless kind of look to my hair when placed in slightly messy bun and a surprise red bow at the back just for a hint of cute. And to just put it out there, hooray to my visible forehead that you probably just saw for the first time.

I know it has been a few months past halloween and I am way overdue, but sporting a look inspired by a well known icon can probably make an exception. Besides, I'm not really all for that, "half-black, half-white" kind of hair, so I guess I'm safe. If it isn't obvious enough, I chose Cruella De Vil because her style was very monochromatic, sophisticated and of course, a hint of red.
Today, I wore my wear-on-any-occasion shift dress that I literally wore to a resort, a day out at the mall, school festivals and etc, but I really love the "Today's Outfit" print in the front which makes it so Me. Over that, I wore a chevron printed long blazer and for my hint of red, I wore my Red pumps that has a chunky heel and pointy toe (honestly, I really don't know what to call that)
I bet a majority of you readers have noticed that I don't normally shoot with a purse/bag. I guess I'm just not a purse kind of person where I have to buy a new one every once in a while, I don't really mind wearing my old ones as long as it looks good and the colors match. But probably since I'm graduating soon and sooner or later I'd be working, I believe I need to learn to invest in good quality purses and not just rummage into my mom's collection and eventually "borrow" them which usually means it would be mine. Ha ha. But I'm just saying, yes I do have a purse to go with that outfit, but no it's not post-worthy.
